Time for a Change of Mind

January 9th, 2008 • Comments »

You know, I have been blogging at mindfeed.org for only a short period of time, but already feel as if I need a change of pace. At first, I intended to write as formally as possible while expounding the various ideas presented via this site. Fifteen or so posts later, I am feeling uninspired to write anything because it requires too much work.

Perhaps if I were younger, unmarried without children, back in school or even working part-time at some dive somewhere, I would find the time to spend digging, researching, and composing miraculous works of blogging wonder in formal tones of which, therefore, and indeed. These days, however, my life is filled to the brim with a million things to do, people to care for, a full-time job away from the computer, and a great deal of stress. The last thing I have time for are three-hour philosophical expositions on absolute relativity, implicative contextualizations, or what have you.

So, I am left with two possible strategies for continuing the development of this blog. First, I could remain uninspired to write new content out of frustration and fatigue, thereby driving the future success of this site directly into the ditch, or, I could choose to discard previous notions of academic responsibility and simply let myself pour onto the page in an easy, free-flowing fashion.

Of course, I am determined to explore, share, and develop the ideas that I find intriguing and inspiring. In fact, this site was created for that very purpose. I need a venue in which I may let loose and flow with it, not another chore to do at the end of the day. Thus, the decision becomes clear: it’s time for a change of pace here at mindfeed.org. So, from now until I decide otherwise, I am officially dropping the tone of this blog to the floor, hereby kicking the formalisms to the curb, if you will.

So what does this mean for you, oh gentle reader? Simple. Expect more content and more ideas written in a kick-back, easy-to-read style that will keep you begging for more. Well, okay, probably not, but the new format will definitely help to motivate me to purge my thoughts and go with the flow. We’ll see..
